The Accentic fingerkey reader with MIFARE technology double checks identity

Biometric security systems are continually growing in significance because they are closing the final security gaps left by conventional identification systems. Honeywell Security’s new Accentic Fingerkey Reader with MIFARE technology delivers additional security and convenience.

Whether it is used for intrusion protection, access control or time management, the finger key reader with MIFARE technology incorporates a new recognition technology for extremely fast and reliable evaluation process. The biometric system unites two kinds of identification features: biological (personal fingerprint) and material (data record with individual serial number or sector data). This double identity check practically rules out the fraudulent use of data carriers by unauthorised persons. Up to four fingerprints can be stored on a 4k MIFARE card. Even under adverse conditions, such as an injured forefinger, this ensures convenient and reliable identification.

The MIFARE fingerprint reader is the first biometric fingerprint recognition product to receive VdS certification for intrusion alarm and access control technology.
