HONEYWELL SHOWCASES LATEST IN ADVANCED SECURITY SOLUTIONS FOR HOMES AND ENTERPRISES ESSEN, GERMANY, 7 October 2008 – Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today announced that it will exhibit a comprehensive range of new and innovative security solutions at this year's Security fair in Essen from the 7th – 10th October, Hall 3, Stand 507. Customers and industry leaders can see first hand the latest advancements in professional security technology ranging from small-scale solutions in private homes to large-scale enterprise-wide systems.
Honeywell will feature advancements in biometric technology, including the Accentic fingerkey reader with Ident Key 3 technology. It is the first switching device with biometric identification features and MIFARE technology to be certified by the German association VdS (Vertrauen durch Sicherheit).
Additionally, the company will demonstrate an extensive peripheral device portfolio, including numerous new BUS modules and components that can be integrated in the MB series central intrusion alarm control panels via bus technology. Connection to both BUS 1 and BUS 2 is possible.
Customers will also learn about the new smoke detector sockets that enable the connection of smoke detectors to intrusion detection systems. Available in both wired and wireless versions, this solution gives installers freedom of choice and allows them to connect professional smoke detectors to the MB series intrusion alarm control panels via BUS and wireless technology.
The new IQ SystemControl software provides simple control of intrusion detection and access control functions for operators and delivers reliable security system control for users and operators.
Honeywell will also present the new Fusion III range of digital video recorders with intelligent video analysis software for the automatic recognition of security-relevant incidents and the new ANPR software for car registration plate recognition. The surveillance portfolio has been extended to include new camera ranges that can be directly connected via IP networks.
